Are plants really sentient?

Perhaps this should not have been such a surprise, but the ability to read our mind really blew mine.

This was discovered accidentally by the same person that developed the polygraph using the same equipment. This is kind of long and to just see the evidence for sentience fast forward to 23:00; it's quite compelling as is what follows and it explains why I would always get a severe pang of guilt whenever I would cause a plant to die, for whatever reason.

This is truly mind changing research and the video is highly recommended in its entirety; personally it was like a book that could not be put down and was watched until the end.
